Airasia Launches Direct Flights To Mauritius


Mauritius is an Indian Ocean island nation that is known for its stunning lagoons, breath-taking beaches, and intricate coral reefs. Those who live in, or are otherwise flying from, Malaysia will be delighted to hear that AirAsia is now offering direct flights from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to Mauritius. The first direct flight took off on Tuesday 4th October and flew at the full capacity of 377 passengers, landing at the main airport of Mauritius, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. During the launching ceremony, AirAsia chairperson Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz said that this direct flight will operate three times a week and will provide around 52,000 seats annually. She also commented, “This will certainly boost tourism to Mauritius and also out of Mauritius to the rest of the region.”
