Bloomberg Report Shows Plenty Of Space In Mauritius

Despite an upswing in the number of arrivals to Mauritius since the start of 2011, there is still plenty of space available for those looking to book a holiday before the year is out. This, according to a report from Bloomberg today, which highlighted the fact that one of Mauritius' largest hotel operators still has plenty of space available for October, November, and December. October is traditionally the start of the busiest tourist season for Mauritius.

New Mauritius Hotels, the hotel operator featured in Bloomberg's report, says that demand is not keeping pace with the chain's recently increased capacity. The company cited a still relatively slow economy as the primary reason why. Capacity has been increased to take advantage of a tourist economy expected to grow significantly in the next couple of years. Until then, New Mauritius Hotels is offering some very good deals to encourage arrivals to stay with them. One of their better-known resorts, Trou aux Biches, has been operating at full capacity all year.

June through September is typically the slowest part of the Mauritian tourist calendar, primarily because the summer months in Europe tend to keep people at home. Since European travellers make up nearly 70% of all arrivals to Mauritius, traffic is expected to increase once again, now that fall temperatures are beginning to drop. By the time December and January roll around Mauritius should be in full swing.

While vacancies still exist, this is a great time to book your Mauritius holidays, all inclusive or otherwise. Tour operators throughout the UK and France have a good selection of opportunities still available. If you're looking for a family holiday with water sports, outdoor adventure, and time on the beach, there is a holiday package for you. For couples looking for a beach wedding or honeymoon, there is still plenty of room available. And for individuals or groups looking for a golf holiday, there's no better place in the Indian Ocean than Mauritius.

Mauritius is an Indian Ocean paradise offering crystal-clear waters, tranquil lagoons protected by natural coral reefs, miles of white sand beach, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, lush green gardens, and majestic mountains. Throw in the near perfect tropical weather and you have a holiday destination like none other. It is a place to go where you can relax, enjoy a day at the spa, and simply shut off the hustle and bustle of your normal life for a week to 10 days.

Tour operators encourage those interested in travelling to Mauritius this winter to not delay in getting their reservations made. The closer we get to the end of the year, the harder it will be to book the best deals. If you've never been to Mauritius before, you'll be glad you made the decision to go.
