Dubai Gearing Up For Jewellery Week 2011

If there's one thing Dubai is known for around the world it is her incredible shopping opportunities made possible by festivals scattered throughout the year. The next one on the 2011 calendar is Dubai jewellery week slated to run from November 10-13. This year's event, being organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, boasting more than 300 exhibitors from 25 countries.

Shoppers will be free to browse among offerings from the finest jewellers hailing from Italy, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand, just to name a few. One example of the "must-see items" featured at the show will include a limited-edition piece known as “Enzo Diamante" Opus Siroya Ferrari Book. Also on display will be a 300 carat yellow sapphire cut in the shpae of a pear, as well as a 99 carat Dubai Cut diamond. The icing on the cake will be the world-famous "1001 Nights Diamond Purse," being loaned to the show by Mouawad.

"Dubai International Jewellery Week showcases a truly global collection of some of the finest jewellery in the world from leading design houses," said DWTC Senior Vice President Trixee Loh. "This year we have rare hand-picked pieces on display and a stunning selection of premium jewellery which is sure to delight the discerning Middle East customer who values quality, design and craftsmanship.

In addition to viewing the world's most spectacular jewellery and shopping the days away, interested participants will also have the option of attending various workshops to learn all about the art of jewellery making. These educational opportunities are designed to spark interest in the jewellery industry from both the marketing and purchasing perspective.

Tour operators are quick to point out that Dubai's Jewellery Week is a great opportunity for Mauritius twin centre holidays (Dubai holidays makes a great stop over when going to Mauritius). Travellers who are interested can arrange their itinerary to spend a few days in Dubai before continuing on to a luxury Mauritius holiday. The split holiday provides the opportunity to see two beautiful places, experience the glamour and excitement of Jewellery week, and finish off with relaxing days on the beach.

Both destinations have plenty to offer in their own right, yet you'll find luxury resorts in both places who are the best at what they do. You will be pampered and spoiled with the finest service, amenities, accommodations, and on-site facilities.

Both destinations also provide beautifully gorgeous weather and plenty of outdoor activity. For the middle and end of November, a Mauritius and Dubai twin holiday is the perfect choice. It is especially appropriate for honeymoon couples wanting to get away for a couple of weeks.

If you're planning to visit Dubai's Jewellery Week and have not yet made your reservations, you need to do so soon while there is still space left. Reservations and flights are filling up fast according to tour operators. So don't delay, book your travel plans right now - while you're thinking about it.
