Dubai Promoting New Iceland Water Park

From the standpoint of being a tourist destination, the Dubai of 25 years ago is nothing like the modern Dubai. The leading tourist destination in the UAE has aggressively promoted development over the last couple of decades designed specifically to bring westerners to the region. One of the greatest examples of this western-focused development is the new Iceland Water Park in Ras Al Khaimah. The park is just the first phase of a larger project slated for completion sometime next year. The 125-acre WOW RAK Theme Park is the latest Dubai development based on western concepts of leisure and pleasure activity.

In order to promote the new water park, its operators have joined forces with local tour operators to offer special deals to visitors. Even though the park opened a little over a year ago, is still widely viewed as a new attraction worthy of special promotion. Some of the special deals include free entry into the park for passengers who arrive using Alta, an airline sales agent counting Saudi Arabian Airlines, United Airways, and other big names among its clientèle.

The Iceland Water Park is a USD $100 million facility covering 110,000 m² along Dubai's Gulf Coast. It is themed to reflect a polar environment that would be home to penguins, polar bears, and other such cold weather creatures. The park includes rides and activities typical of such an amusement; things like water slides and children's pools.

Travellers coming from Europe have the added opportunity to use Dubai as a stopover on their way to Mauritius or another Indian Ocean destination. In fact, a specialist Mauritius holiday operator will be able to arrange terrific twin centre holidays that will help you make the most of both destinations at a price you can afford. Stopping in Dubai for couple of days on your way to Mauritius is a great way to experience both destinations while at the same time relieving some of the travel fatigue that comes from flying such great distances.

Both Dubai and Mauritius are great places to take the family for your winter holidays. They offer the opportunity to enjoy the warm weather, sunshine, and natural beauty of two stunning regions. And with the UK’s rather bland summer this past year and the onset of winter at the doorstep, a twin centre holiday in Dubai and Mauritius is that much more attractive.

For travellers looking for last minute deals for Christmas, they will find there's still occupancy in both destinations. Furthermore, many of the resorts in Mauritius are already gearing up with special holiday-themed activities.

As for Dubai, the development continues all over the emirate with new tourist venues, resorts, and even a couple of cities being built from the ground up. It's certainly an exciting time to travel to Dubai to see all that's going on.

Mauritius Holidays Direct , the luxury holiday company based in the UK, is the only specialist Mauritius holiday operator you need for twin centre holidays in Dubai and Mauritius
