Millie Mackintosh Enjoys Mauritius Holiday With Partner

'Mauritius was made first and then heaven, heaven being copied after Mauritius' is a quote from Mark Twain – and he is definitely right about that. Mauritius is often considered the ultimate paradise holiday destination; with its idyllic beaches and picturesque lagoons and reefs, what more could you ask for Magnificent Mauritian Backdrop

Former Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh has certainly shown that she loves the stunning Indian Ocean nation as she posted numerous snaps of herself and her partner Hugo Taylor enjoying their time in the country together. She flaunted her slim physique on Instagram in one particular snap as she lay on a sun lounger in a beautiful white bikini, with the magnificent Mauritian backdrop of powder-white sands and crystal clear waters on show. The snap was captioned ‘How I would like to spend every Saturday @beachcomber_hotels #Mauritius’.

Focusing on Luxury Holiday

Mackintosh has caused quite some controversy recently after she ‘destroyed’ her £1,500 wedding dress to use as a Halloween costume after a bitter row with her ex-husband Professor Green (Stephen Manderson). She was branded ‘childish’ by journalist Janet Street-Porter, who said “It’s horrible to make a statement like that, it’s childish” when the subject came up in a discussion on Loose Women. However, Mackintosh chose to ignore the jibes and instead focussed on her luxury Mauritius holiday with her partner.

What to do in Mauritius

Mauritius has many things to offer visitors to its shores, ranging from wildlife spotting to thrilling water sports and everything in between; there is something for everyone on this dazzling island. If you love your wildlife, then you will want to catch a glimpse of what are branded as the two ‘loveliest birds’ of the Indian Ocean – the Mauritian kestrel and the pink pigeon – which can be spotted at many locations around the island. Giant tortoises roam free as well, and the marine life is just as exciting, with whales, sharks, and dolphins all swimming in the magnificent Indian Ocean waters that surround the island.

Many visitors opt for one of the boat excursions that take in the mesmerising lagoon, or else they give scuba diving or snorkelling a try. Any of these activities will allow you to witness first-hand the beauty and tranquillity of the aquatic treasures that lay beneath the surface of the waters surrounding the island. However, there’s no need to worry as you do not need previous experience or be specially trained to take part in these activities as specialised personnel will be with you at all times.

Why Mauritius

Those looking for a small piece of heaven on earth will often opt for Mauritius – simply because it feels just like that. You will witness some truly spectacular sights, and it will be one holiday that ends up being unforgettable.
