Six-Star Delight At Constance Le Prince Maurice

On the north-east coast of Mauritius, the Constance Le Prince Maurice lies nestled in 60 hectares of lush green tropical gardens. It is one of the most idyllic spots on the island and boasts colonial style villas, divine eateries, classy bars, a spa, and ivory beaches surrounded by palms and lush vegetation. It is also home to a natural fish reserve as well as a lagoon overgrown with mangroves. The two-staff-to-every-guest service is just the icing on the cake. Accommodation – Pure Luxury

The luxurious accommodations are ‘Suites on Stilts’ with airy, vaulted ceilings and patios out over the lagoon. Each suite has a walk-in wardrobe with an unpacking service included. There are power showers and sunken baths, and each villa and suite has a Mac mini and free wi-fi. The most luxurious of all the villas is The Princely Villa, which is located on the beach. It is a palatial residence with a kitchenette for service staff as well as private heated pools in addition to all the above luxuries.

Your Meals

The main building that overlooks the beach is surrounded by some restaurants and bars, and some of the best meals on the island are served here. Next to the pool is the L’Archipel, which offers an à la carte menu with gourmet food and themed buffet dinners. They serve a delicious layered crab, celeriac, and avocado salad – perfect for a lovely lunch.

A wooden pathway across the lagoon takes you to Le Barachois. It is a floating seafood restaurant that overlooks the natural fish reserve. Each of the five decks has an unspoiled view of a mountain range and offers the most amazing sunset views. The beach also offers an Asian restaurant that serves unrivalled sushi and dim-sum.

One of the highlights of the events calendar is the Bernard Loiseau Culinary Festival, which is held at the resort every year, attracting Michelin star chefs from all over the world.

The spa offers a whole range of luxury treatments – from facials to massages, and it promises to leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed after each treatment. There are also water sports that include kayaking, paddle boarding, scuba diving, sailing, parasailing, and water skiing.

For the fitness aware, there is a gym as well as personal trainers who will assist you with your ongoing fitness regimen. There are also ‘on demand’ workout classes on a video screen in the workout room.

The catamaran cruise is also not to be missed.
